American Legion Auxiliary Unit #576

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit in Stratford was chartered in 1922. It serves, as the name implies, as an auxiliary or support of the American Legion. Membership is open to wives, mothers, daughters, grandaughters, great-granddaughters, grandmothers and sisters of members of the American Legion and to women who of their own right are eligible to belong to the American Legion. Membership is also open to those categories of eligible members listed above whose "eligible" veteran died in the line of duty or is now deceased.
