Parks and Recreation

Stratford City Park

The Ladies Union Park Association was formed in 1892 for the purpose of establishing a park. Squabbles over where to locate the park inhibited progress, but eventually the park came to be in its present location. In 1916 a landscape architect designed the park. The bandstand was built in 1917, the north shelter in 1970, the south shelter in 1987, and the bath house in 1992.
